A Dallas-based private equity firm can't duck a $35.5 million judgment against it in a contract dispute over offshore oil and gas exploration projects, a panel of Fifth Circuit judges ruled on Thursday, rejecting all its attacks on the award, including that the companies involved in the case never asked for payment.
