An Israeli democracy group asked a New York federal judge for permission to appeal to the Second Circuit the judge's refusal to dismiss a $110 million lawsuit alleging the group violated its tax-exempt status by engaging in political activities.

A pro-Israel organization can proceed with its suit accusing a tax-exempt group that advocates for Israeli democracy of improperly participating in undisclosed political activities, a New York federal judge said in declining to dismiss the case.
