A pair of cryptocurrency companies have asked a San Francisco federal judge to throw out a proposed class action brought by a user of their blockchain platform, arguing that its users were "repeatedly and expressly" warned about the novel technology's inherent risks before they allegedly lost over $8 million worth of digital assets during a 2020 "mass liquidation" of holdings on the platform.
