Columbia Gets $2.4M Default Award In RICO IP Case
A California federal judge has awarded Columbia Sportswear nearly $2.4 million in damages and entered default judgment against textile manufacturer Ventex Co. Ltd., finding that Columbia sufficiently pled Ventex violated federal and Oregon racketeering laws by conspiring with a rival to wrongly launch administrative challenges to Columbia's patents.

Columbia Sportswear Settles Suit Over Rival's IP 'Conspiracy'
A California federal court has granted Columbia Sportswear's motion to dismiss a suit that made "allegations of a conspiracy" between Seirus Innovative Accessories Inc. and another company to launch administrative challenges to Columbia's patents, following a settlement notice.
