An Ohio bridal shop can't tap into its coverage with Owners Insurance Co. for business interruption losses tied to the COVID-19 pandemic and government shutdown orders, a federal judge ruled Tuesday, finding the shop failed to allege any "direct physical loss or damage."

A group of attorneys from DiCello Levitt Gutzler LLC, the Lanier Law Firm PC, Burns Bowen Bair LLP and Daniels & Tredennick launched class action suits against six insurance companies in federal courts on Friday over their denials of coverage for businesses shut down because of the COVID-19 outbreak.
