Omnicom Group Inc. struck a nearly $2.5 million deal to wrap up a class action accusing it of allowing its employee 401(k) plan to be saddled with costly and poorly performing investment options, according to a filing in New York federal court.

A New York federal judge has ruled that Omnicom Group Inc. must face a legal challenge to its 401(k) plan's fees, but it doesn't have to face allegations that certain Neuberger Berman and Morgan Stanley investment funds were poor vehicles for its workers' retirement savings.
