A Texas federal judge on Wednesday threw out a suit accusing headphone maker Skullcandy Inc. of infringing a number of patents covering wireless headphones, ruling that rival Koss Corp. hasn't demonstrated that Skullcandy has a regular and established place of business in Texas.

Headphone maker Koss Corp. sued Apple, Bose and three other companies in the Western District of Texas on Wednesday, claiming it developed the "first-ever true wireless headphones" and holds a number of patents on the technology that the companies are infringing.
