The owner of two Minnesota movie theaters asked a New York federal judge Monday to reject bankrupt movie theater operator Cinemex Holdings USA Inc.'s bid to winnow down an attachment order in a fight over unpaid rent, arguing that the company's "past conduct makes clear that it will not willingly pay any judgment in this case."

A Florida bankruptcy judge said Tuesday that the owner of two Minnesota movie theaters can seek an extension on part of a lien against the parent company of insolvent movie theater operator Cinemex Holdings USA Inc., but delayed ruling on Cinemex stock the parent holds.
