A Pennsylvania federal judge has narrowed E.A. Fischione Instruments Inc.'s trade secrets suit against rival Simple Origin Inc. from 19 claims down to three, finding that the high-tech microscope equipment manufacturer did not identify most of its claims as separate from general knowledge.
