Judge Nixes Trade Group's Suit Over NJ Public Bidding Law
New Jersey's chief federal judge threw out a trade organization's challenge to a state law conditioning public contract bidding on participation in apprenticeship programs, reasoning that it didn't back its claim that the statute violates the U.S. Constitution.

NJ Trade Org Calls State Apprenticeship Law Unconstitutional
A New Jersey law that requires public works contractors to be affiliated with an apprenticeship program is an unconstitutional infringement on the rights of businesses and a giveaway to unions, a trade association said in a lawsuit filed in New Jersey federal court.
