Pearson Education Inc. struck a deal to end a disability bias suit brought by a former worker who claimed she developed post-traumatic stress disorder after her father's suicide and was eventually fired for lodging complaints about how management reacted to the PTSD diagnosis.

A Louisiana federal judge backed a former Pearson Education Inc. salesperson's disability bias claims against the textbook publisher but shut down her allegations of genetic discrimination, saying knowledge of her family history of suicide didn't count as genetic information.
