Management consulting firm McKinsey & Co. Inc. was hit with a proposed class action in West Virginia federal court Sunday, seeking to hold the company liable for laying out a plan to help Purdue Pharma increase the sales of narcotic painkiller OxyContin following the drugmaker's 2007 guilty plea for misbranding the drug.
