A zinc producer told an Oklahoma federal court Tuesday it can't be held liable for what an aerospace parts maker did with raw materials purchased from the chemical company's predecessor, so it doesn't owe any portion of a $25 million contamination cleanup bill.

An aerospace parts manufacturer's assignee is seeking to recoup some of the $25 million it has spent cleaning up hazardous substances at the site of a shuttered facility in Oklahoma, arguing the port that now owns the land and dozens of other companies are liable for cleanup costs.
