A Delaware federal judge has rejected energy technology company Lancium LLC and its co-founders' post-trial attorney fee bid, saying they didn't show anything "exceptional" about the case over a bitcoin mining patent to warrant an award of fees.

A Delaware federal judge on Monday rejected a cryptocurrency company founder's bid to be named the sole inventor of another business's patent on adjusting energy consumption during bitcoin mining, ruling that Lancium LLC independently conceived of the invention.
