A Manhattan federal judge has decided for the first time that the privacy protections in a New York state civil rights law won't help a model beat immunity protections provided to retailers like Amazon and Walmart by Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act over allegations her face was used online to promote skincare products without her consent.
