Stone Brewing has resolved a trademark dispute with rival craft-beer maker Sycamore Brewing over allegations that Stone ripped off the slogan "keep it juicy," one day after Stone filed counterclaims that the "exact phrase" has long been used in the industry to describe beer.

A North Carolina federal court has ordered Stone Brewing to stop using the phrase "keep it juicy" on the packaging for its Hazy IPA, ruling that Stone's use is "astoundingly similar" to fellow craft beer maker Sycamore Brewing's trademarked slogan.

A craft beer maker has tapped Stone Brewing with a trademark infringement complaint in North Carolina federal court over a slogan for citrusy alcohol, filing suit shortly after Stone won a $56 million judgment for its own infringement claims against MillerCoors.
