A current and a former Atlanta police officer have called on a Georgia federal judge to keep afloat their claims that the city's former district attorney defamed and falsely arrested them over the fatal shooting of a Black man who fell asleep at a Wendy's drive-thru, arguing that the ex-DA was acting outside his prosecutorial role.
