Goodyear can exit a proposed class action in Massachusetts federal court claiming the tire company's use of customer tracking software on its website violated state wiretapping laws, as a judge ruled Monday that just because the website can be accessed in the New England state that doesn't establish jurisdiction.

Goodyear was hit with a proposed class action Monday claiming the tire giant uses tracking software on its website to effectively look over customers' shoulders as they peruse the site in violation of Massachusetts wiretapping laws.
