An Arizona federal judge has paused litigation brought by a Native American tribe that accuses the Indian Health Service of unlawfully refusing to foot certain costs associated with tribe-run health services as the federal government weighs bringing an analogous case before the U.S. Supreme Court.

An Arizona tribe and its health care organization accused the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services of skipping out on its payment obligations to the tribe, alleging in a lawsuit filed in Arizona federal court that they are owed $110 million.
