Bass Pro Shops is asking a Southern California federal court to toss a proposed class action that accuses the sports retailer of spying on its customers with sophisticated software as they browse its website, saying the complaint fails to state a valid claim and that it's impossible for the company to illegally wiretap or eavesdrop on itself.
