A Tennessee federal judge rejected the Sierra Club's challenge of an environmental assessment that the Tennessee Valley Authority completed to install new gas combustion turbines at one of its existing facilities in the Volunteer State.

The Tennessee Valley Authority said a Volunteer State federal court should reject the Sierra Club's challenge of a planned gas-fired power plant, claiming the project does not harm the environmental organization or one of its members who owns a nearby home.
