SEC Says Fla. Firm Used Bogus K&L Gates Letters For Scam
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has filed suit against a Miami-based investment adviser and his firm, alleging they misappropriated roughly $750,000 from investors through a fraudulent investment scheme using fabricated audit reports from KPMG LLP and fake attorney letters from K&L Gates LLP.
