Sports drink maker BioSteel wants a New York federal court to toss out a suit accusing it of misleading customers by calling its drinks "eco-friendly" when they actually contain so-called forever chemicals, saying that there's no evidence aside from the plaintiff's own "independent" testing.

Consumers of raspberry sports drink BioSteel accused the manufacturer of misleading consumers by calling it "eco-friendly," when testing revealed that the drinks contain per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, or PFAS, a category of synthetic chemicals known to be dangerous to consumer health and the environment.
