An IFG Companies insurance unit and a horse racing track told a Georgia federal judge they plan to settle a suit over whether the insurer must cover the track in a man's state court suit claiming he was seriously injured at one of the track's equestrian events.

An insurance company has asked a Georgia federal judge to find that it isn't obligated to cover a racetrack in an underlying lawsuit by a Texan who was seriously injured by a horse at an equestrian event, arguing that the policy doesn't cover the event.
