Bank of America has asked a California federal judge to either dismiss or send to arbitration a proposed class action by three small businesses alleging that the bank misled them about the requirements of the Paycheck Protection Program loans in 2020, which the businesses say has now left them with unforgivable debt.

A trio of California small businesses have asked a Los Angeles federal judge to temporarily bar Bank of America NA from reporting payments on their Paycheck Protection Program loans as past due or doing anything else to adversely affect their credit as the plaintiffs proceed with a proposed class action against the bank.
