Bass Pro's Facebook Tracking Suit Joins Wiretapping MDL
A proposed class action accusing Cabela's and Bass Pro Shops of conspiring with Facebook by allowing the social media giant to intercept gun buyers' protected information must join a larger wiretapping MDL aimed at the businesses, the U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation determined, despite the wishes of both the companies and plaintiffs.

A Pennsylvania resident has filed a proposed class action against sporting goods stores Cabela's and Bass Pro Shops on behalf of himself and others who purchased firearms from their websites, saying the defendants conspired with Facebook by allowing the social media giant to intercept buyers' protected information.
