A Georgia federal judge signed off Friday on a $70,000 settlement that puts an end to the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission's lawsuit accusing Dillard's Inc. of refusing to allow a pregnant employee to take breaks and then firing her after she complained.

Dillard's Inc. refused to allow a pregnant Black employee to take sitting breaks, forced her to move to another department and then fired her after she complained that her transfer was discriminatory, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission said in a lawsuit filed Friday.
