Varsity Brands, Cheer Org. Sued Over Child Sex Abuse Claims
The governing body of national cheerleading competitions and a South Daytona, Florida, gym have been accused of fostering sexual abuse of underage athletes by coaches and choreographers in a yearslong racketeering conspiracy that the plaintiffs say placed profits over athletes' safety, according to a lawsuit filed in Florida federal court.
