A Washington federal judge said Tuesday that a proposed class of consumers must arbitrate claims that a borrower obtained a loan from Opportunity Financial LLC under illegal predatory lending terms, in a ruling that said the borrower failed to take several opportunities to opt out of the arbitration.

Opportunity Financial LLC has been hit with a proposed class suit alleging its 160% annual percentage rate exceeds the 25% cap in Washington state and that it contracts banks in other states to bypass the law.
