An Archer Aviation Inc. investor has agreed to dismiss a proposed class action alleging the electric aircraft maker and some of its brass misrepresented certain fundamentals of its business, including how much it had tested its aircraft, hurting investors when publication of a short-seller's report nudged down its trading prices.

An aircraft manufacturer has urged a California federal judge to toss a suit alleging it "heavily edited" videos of its flights to exaggerate the amount of flight testing it had performed and the quality and sophistication of its aircraft, arguing that the suit "does not even attempt to comply" with the requirements for asserting claims under the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act.
