Danish energy company Orsted on Tuesday evening called it quits on its controversial wind energy projects that would have launched New Jersey's offshore wind development, a decision Gov. Phil Murphy slammed as "outrageous."

Cape May County, New Jersey, and a coalition of business, conservation and fishing groups are asking a federal judge to overturn approvals for Orsted's Ocean Wind 1 offshore wind project, claiming federal agencies neglected their duties to protect the environment and wildlife in an "inappropriate collusion with Big Wind."
