A California federal judge has agreed to stay a case where X, formerly known as Twitter, filed a declaratory judgment action against Adeia, while the parties work through a settlement.

Adeia asked a California federal court Tuesday to toss a declaratory patent action filed by the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, arguing it is using the lawsuit as a "strategic attempt to avoid paying agreed-to royalties" of $3 million per year under a licensing agreement reached in 2019.
