A New York federal judge Monday ruled that a crypto-focused attorney must arbitrate his claims that wallet provider Phantom Technologies Inc. enabled the hack that stole half a million dollars from his dog-themed meme coin project.

Cryptocurrency wallet provider Phantom Technologies has asked a New York federal judge to disqualify an attorney from representing a group of plaintiffs, including himself, in a suit he filed over the alleged theft of half-a-million dollars worth of a meme coin he created in honor of his pet dachshund.

A former BigLaw attorney who created a meme coin in honor of his pet dachshund has sued the crypto wallet provider he used to hold his tokens over "catastrophic security failures and deliberate regulatory evasion" that allegedly allowed a hacker to steal half a million dollars' worth of his meme coin and tank the value of the project in the process.
