Status Conference ~Util - Set Deadlines/Hearings
Minute Entry for Status Conference proceedings held on 4/17/2024 before Magistrate Judge James R. Cho. Clifford A. Katz appeared for plaintiff. Pro se defendant Kishlay Anand ("Dr. Anand") also participated. Dr. Anand shall provide plaintiff's counsel with his new mailing address once it becomes available, and plaintiff's counsel shall file a letter with the Court advising of same. The parties are encouraged to discuss settlement privately and are invited to contact the Court to schedule a settlement conference if they believe it would be productive.
The Court grants Dr. Anand an extension of time until 5/17/2024 to retain counsel on behalf of DAAN Investment Services LLLP. No further extensions will be granted absent a showing of good cause.
Telephone status conference scheduled for 5/21/2024 at 12:30 p.m. (New York time) before Magistrate Judge James R. Cho. Parties are directed to call (toll free) 833-990-9400 and enter Meeting ID 709-478-501#. Adjournment requests will not be considered unless made in accordance with this Court's Individual Rules. If any party has difficulty accessing the conference, please contact Chambers at 718-613-2110. If Dr. Anand fails to retain new counsel, Dr. Anand shall personally participate in the 5/21/2024 conference. The Court anticipates setting a discovery schedule at the 5/21/2024 conference.
