A Florida federal judge has dismissed 14 complaints in multidistrict litigation accusing State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Co. and other insurers of conspiring to manipulate car repair costs, although the plaintiffs will have a chance to refile most claims.

State Farm, Others Want Car Repair Conspiracy Suits Axed

State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Co., Allstate Indemnity Co. and others have urged a Florida federal judge to dismiss several complaints in multidistrict litigation accusing the insurers of conspiring to manipulate car repair costs, arguing the plaintiffs' objections haven't overcome a magistrate judge's findings that the complaints are deficient.
