Debevoise Notches Transgender Rights Win In DMV Fight

Law360, New York (July 17, 2015, 7:29 PM EDT) -- Transgender individuals in West Virginia are now allowed to be photographed as they regularly appear in their driver's license photos, thanks to a pro bono team of Debevoise & Plimpton LLP attorneys and the Transgender Legal Defense and Education Fund.

The West Virginia Division of Motor Vehicles on July 1 agreed to change its 2003 policy that prohibited individuals from misrepresenting their gender in driver's license photographs.
