Generics' 2nd Challenge To Acne Drug IP Succeeds At PTAB
Handing a win to Amneal Pharmaceuticals and Mylan in a battle with Almirall LLC over a patent covering its acne drug Aczone, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board said the generics makers were able to persuasively show that all the challenged claims were invalid.

PTAB Struggles To Parse Arguments In Acne Drug Patent Suit
The Patent Trial and Appeal Board seemed to struggle Wednesday to grasp the argument posed by drugmaker Almirall as it attempted to fend off a bid to invalidate its patent covering the acne drug Aczone, with one judge saying the attorney's responses "raised more questions than answers."
