Google continued its winning streak in a patent fight over video playback technology after the Patent Trial and Appeal Board this week struck down two Virentem Ventures patents for being obvious, bringing the total number of Virentem patents invalidated this month to four.

The Patent Trial and Appeal Board has agreed to review the validity of a Virentem Ventures broadcast patent that Google and YouTube stand accused of infringing.
