U.S. Patent and Trademark Office Director Kathi Vidal has vacated a Patent Trial and Appeal Board decision in which a board panel invalidated claims in an Advanced Bionics cochlear hearing aid patent in a challenge brought by Med-El Elektromedizinische Geräte GmbH.
