FDA Warns P&G Over Contamination Risk At Plant

Law360, New York (May 5, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has warned Procter & Gamble Co. about sanitation problems at a plant in Puerto Rico that produces over-the-counter drugs and Olay-brand cosmetics.

In a letter dated April 24 and posted on the FDA's Web site Tuesday, the agency told the company that inspections of the facility in Cayey, Puerto Rico, revealed deviations from the Current Good Manufacturing Practice Regulations in the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act.
