Kirkland Nabs Former Deputy AG Mark Filip

Law360, New York (May 5, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Kirkland & Ellis LLP has snagged one-time district judge and former Deputy U.S. Attorney General Mark Filip, who joins as a partner in the firm's litigation practice.

Filip, who started Tuesday, will work out of Kirkland's Chicago and Washington offices.

Filip said he was drawn to the “comfort factor” of Kirkland, where he worked as an associate 14 years ago after serving as a law clerk to U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia and Judge Stephen F. Williams at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the...
