No Major Changes Needed For Tax Bill, Speaker Ryan Says

Law360, Washington (January 12, 2018, 6:40 PM EST) -- House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., acknowledged in an interview that aired Friday that Congress likely will need to make technical corrections to the $1.5 trillion tax bill passed by Congress at the end of last year but added that any changes made likely would be small.

Ryan, interviewed on C-SPAN on Thursday, said lawmakers already were aware that certain provisions would require revision, such as those related to how international transactions are taxed, but said no major rewrites were necessary.
