Labor, Employment Litigation In Slow Decline: Survey

Law360, New York (September 12, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Labor and employment litigation in federal courts has continued to drop in the past twelve months, extending a trend that started several years ago, according to our survey of court dockets.

Overall, employment-related litigation dropped 12% in the full year leading up to June 30, 2006, according to our tally of federal employment litigation.

The survey shows that the number of civil rights/discrimination cases dropped 18%, hour and wage cases dropped 3%, and ERISA cases dropped 15%.
