WR Grace, Execs Acquitted In Criminal Asbestos Trial

Law360 (May 8, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A jury has acquitted W.R. Grace & Co. and three former executives of conspiring to conceal dangers of asbestos exposure from a Libby, Mont., mine, in a long-awaited trial plagued by charges of prosecutorial misconduct.

In the U.S. District Court for the District of Montana on Friday, about 36 hours after they began deliberating, the jury handed down a verdict acquitting the bankrupt chemical maker and three of its former executives.
