Up To 40 Staffers Shown The Door At Snell & Wilmer

Law360, New York (May 11, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Phoenix-based Snell & Wilmer LLP, the latest law firm to pare down staff in response to the recession, has announced plans to cut between 30 and 40 staff members in its offices across the Southwestern U.S.

The layoffs, which took place late last week, affected several of the firm's branches, but the Phoenix office was hit hardest, Snell & Wilmer chairman John Bouma said.
