Recession-Driven Practice Areas Weak In '09: Report

Law360, New York (May 11, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The legal practice areas such as employment and intellectual property law at major U.S. firms that usually see boon times amid economic meltdowns have actually suffered in 2009, according to a new report.

On Monday, consulting firm Hildebrandt released its "Peer Monitor Index," using data for the first quarter of 2009 from 75 of the nation's 200 highest-grossing law firms.
