Legal Sector's Slow Year Continues With 200 Jobs Lost In Feb.

Law360 (March 9, 2018, 4:23 PM EST) -- The U.S. legal sector continued its less-than-stellar start to 2018, dropping another 200 jobs in February for the worst two-month stretch to begin a year since 2013, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Friday.

February’s preliminary tally of seasonally adjusted legal sector jobs stands at 1,135,700, a loss of 1,400 total jobs since December. The losses bring job totals in the legal sector to their lowest point in more than six months, rising just above the 1,135,500 jobs recorded in August.
