Small Business Says CPSIA Rules Burdensome

Law360 (May 11, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Small-business owners appeared before a U.S. House of Representatives panel Thursday, urging lawmakers and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission to reconsider and clarify portions of the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008 that they claim are unduly burdensome for small operations.

The House subcommittee on investigations and oversight listened to a panel of small-business owners from across the country air their complaints about the CPSIA in the first congressional hearing on the matter.
