Apple Strikes Back In Patent Spat Over IPhone

Law360, New York (May 12, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Apple Inc. has fired back at a Swiss holding company, denying that the iPhone infringes a patent related to electronic books and calling the patent invalid.

In an answer and counterclaim filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, Apple asserted defense claims against Monec Holding AG, which markets electronics for use in mobile communications systems.
