Race Bias Suit V. Firm Stayed Until Pro Bono Hire

Law360, New York (May 12, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A Baltimore woman's race discrimination and retaliation lawsuit against Williams & Connolly LLP has been stayed pending the appointment of pro bono counsel.

Julie A. Gaskins filed the complaint in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia in September 2008. She claims the firm forced her to resign after she complained of pay disparities for black secretaries in the firm's Washington offices.
